Stolen from NW 10th and Marshal in Portland Oregon between 1 and 9 A.M.
It took 4 years to build, every tiny part had been lovingly touched and improved upon. It was also in a locked garage with TWO Kryptonite locks and locked to a water pipe that was immovable. There is a special place in hell for bike theives.
Did they just bust the garage lock and somehow cut through the Kryptonite locks? Why would someone put that much effort into stealing such a customized bike? It seems pointless.
To be honest it's not my bike, I'm not sure how they got past the garage door. The owner is a total wreck, he did everything right as far as locking it up goes. We don't know how they got through the locks, nothing was left behind! Unfortunately Ducati's have a reputaion for being expensive. Some people think that if you steel one it will have substantial street value. The paradox being that Ducati's are rare enough that they stand out. Some people have strange motives. Whoever stole it is going to have an impssible time taking it anywhere, this bike is one of a kind and every motorcycle shop will be able to pick it out a mile away.

I hope you can read this post.
I was browsing internet when I saw your wonderful bike.
Could you please describe me the "update" you did (mainly on the rear part of the bike, for example: did you modify the frame?) to get this result?
OH man I am so sorry to read this. I hope you find the people who snagged it. THe bike stands out to much to not be noticed even if they parted it out.
Yah it stands out even for a Ducati, I dont' know what these people were thinking. Every part on this bike is going to set off red flags up. Plus the bike is known in Ducati circles up and down the coast so I don't know how they will sell it off. lame.
I cross posted it up on Myspace. good luck to your friend.
